Is your crane 7- 10 years old? Have you been advised that your crane is/maybe due for a Major inspection?
Australian standards stipulate that cranes should be subject to a major inspection after 7 years, unless you have data logging that may extend the life of the mechanical components.
These inspections are carried out to assess a cranes suitability for continued safe use and to ensure compliance with today’s current standard.
A Major inspection by Crane Aid involves:
Removal of equipment from your site to our workshop by our technical staff.
Disassembly of all your motors and gear boxes with Non-destructive testing carried out on all critical components.
All equipment is factory tested before installation.
Installation with final commissioning and certified load testing.
Full inspection of Service history reports on equipment ensuring Australian standards compliance and to identify any operational trends.
DWP and report supplied by our in-house engineering team.
To stay compliant with AS2550.1 and ensuring the continued safe use of your lifting equipment, Third Party Inspections should be carried out on a 7 -10 yearly basis.
